This was a lively, well-attended meeting and thanks go to our hosts and to all the residents who could come.  It was a useful opportunity for the tenants and leaseholders to air their concerns to the Metropolitan Police and Officers of the Borough Council.

Burne Jones Windows, Door & Communal Security
Vince confirmed the replacement should begin in the next 2 months.  The communal security doors will be added to the end of that project.  The current plan is to secure each stairwell, but residents will be consulted and if they do not want that, it will not happen.  Leaseholders will receive a Section 20 Notice of Estimate before the works as there will be a charge, including the communal security doors.

CCTV Cameras
Camilla confirmed that every block will have a number of CCTV cameras by end of year.  Some will be static, some panning.  They will join LBHF’s monitored network at Town Hall: 3 operators viewing 40 screens accessing 900 cameras.  They are used to help police in real time.  Historical footage can also be accessed to help identify those involved in any reported ASB/crime at a given time and date.  Police can access recordings and use them in court.  If not used, recordings are deleted after 1 month.  Local crime statistics can be found at www.police.co.uk.
